Global Lead for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (Physical Security)

A global organisation is seeking a Global Lead – Governance, Risk & Compliance (Physical Security) to establish and lead its enterprise-wide physical security governance framework. This is a senior leadership position responsible for defining policies, standards, and procedures, aligning security with enterprise risk management, and ensuring compliance with international regulations and industry standards across a complex, multi-region environment.

The role will own the development of a global governance structure, including policy frameworks, risk registers, and performance metrics, while overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements such as GDPR and other jurisdictional obligations. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, HR, Technology, and Risk to ensure alignment, audit readiness, and consistent implementation of controls across global operations. This position also leads third-party risk management, audit coordination, and executive reporting on program maturity and effectiveness.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong background in security governance, risk management, or compliance, including experience operating across multiple regions and regulatory environments. You will have a proven ability to build and scale frameworks in complex organisations, translate regulatory requirements into practical controls, and communicate risk effectively at executive level. Experience within regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare is strongly preferred.
