Regional Security Director, MEA
A global organisation is seeking a Regional Director of Security to fullfil a role that combines strategic oversight with hands-on engagement, supporting regional leadership in maintaining security standards, incident response capability, and compliance across the regional portfolio.
The position is based in Dubai and will support a geographically dispersed portfolio of operational sites. The role combines strategic oversight with direct operational engagement, helping regional leadership maintain strong security standards, effective incident response capability, and consistent risk management practices. As the organisation continues to grow across multiple markets, the Regional Director will play a central role in strengthening security capability and ensuring that established standards are applied consistently across the region.
Position Overview
The Regional Director serves as the senior safety and security authority for Middle East and Africa operations, providing expert advice, escalation support, and operational guidance to regional leadership.
The role also contributes to wider regional and global security initiatives where required.
Core Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:

Providing security guidance and decision support to regional operational leadership

Supporting the implementation of organisational safety and security policies and standards

Producing and maintaining documentation related to physical security, technical security, and life-safety programmes

Conducting audits, reviews, and risk assessments across the regional portfolio

Leading training initiatives and supporting the professional development of security personnel

Supporting the organisation’s incident and crisis management framework

Managing security incidents and coordinating response with relevant internal stakeholders

Conducting or supporting investigations where required

Reviewing security considerations for new facilities, operational changes, and infrastructure projects

Managing relationships with security vendors and specialist consultants

Maintaining professional relationships with law-enforcement and relevant external partners

Providing advisory support on travel safety and protective intelligence matters
Candidate Profile
The organisation is seeking an experienced security professional capable of operating effectively across multiple jurisdictions and operational environments.
Candidates should demonstrate:

Demonstrably strong experience managing security programmes across multiple sites in the region

Experience advising senior leadership on operational security matters

Familiarity with incident management, crisis response, and security governance

Experience working with distributed operational teams and external service providers

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Fluent English - Arabic would be fantastic, but not essential
Experience supporting health and safety initiatives or working in complex operational environments is advantageous.
