Intelligence & Investigations Analyst – Europe
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Intelligence & Investigations Analyst to join a global Corporate Security team supporting intelligence, security, brand protection, and anti-illicit trade activities across Europe. Please note that this is a full-time permanent position, employed on a contract basis.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys investigations, intelligence gathering, problem solving, and connecting seemingly unrelated pieces of information to uncover the bigger picture. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and disrupting illicit trade activity, supporting investigations, protecting products and brands, and delivering actionable intelligence to stakeholders across the business.
The role combines online investigations, intelligence analysis, open-source research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic insight generation. Working closely with regional investigators, security professionals, and business stakeholders, you will help identify criminal activity, uncover illicit supply chains, assess emerging threats, and support enforcement efforts across multiple countries.
While focused on Europe, the position operates within a global intelligence function, providing opportunities to collaborate with colleagues and partners worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Intelligence Collection & Analysis
· Collect, evaluate, and analyse intelligence from a wide variety of sources including open-source information, internal databases, media reporting, social media platforms, e-commerce marketplaces, regulatory publications, commercial datasets, and industry intelligence.
· Identify patterns, trends, networks, and emerging threats impacting products, brands, supply chains, and business operations.
· Produce intelligence reports, assessments, briefings, and analytical products that support operational and strategic decision-making.
· Develop actionable intelligence leads that support investigations and enforcement activities.
· Monitor developments across markets, industries, and regions to identify risks and opportunities.
· Deliver timely and relevant intelligence to stakeholders across multiple business functions.
Online Investigations & Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT)
· Conduct detailed online investigations into suspicious sellers, companies, supply chains, and individuals.
· Monitor e-commerce platforms, social media channels, websites, forums, and digital marketplaces for illicit activity.
· Identify indicators of counterfeit products, unauthorised distribution, diversion, smuggling, and other forms of illicit trade.
· Conduct background research and due diligence on entities connected to investigations.
· Cross-reference information from multiple sources to validate findings and identify investigative opportunities.
· Utilise OSINT methodologies and investigative techniques to uncover hidden relationships and networks.
Brand Protection & Anti-Illicit Trade
· Support global and regional anti-illicit trade programmes through intelligence-led investigations.
· Identify and assess illicit trade trends affecting products and markets across Europe.
· Monitor criminal methodologies, emerging threats, and evolving distribution channels.
· Support investigations into counterfeit products, grey market activity, diversion schemes, and organised illicit trade networks.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date case information within intelligence and case management systems.
· Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and recommending measures to strengthen protection efforts.
Geopolitical, Regulatory & Market Intelligence
· Monitor regulatory developments, policy changes, trade restrictions, tariffs, and enforcement activity that may impact business operations.
· Assess country-specific and regional risks relevant to products, markets, and supply chains.
· Provide early warning intelligence regarding developments that could create operational, commercial, or security risks.
· Track industry developments, emerging trends, and market dynamics relevant to intelligence and investigations activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
· Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across Security, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Supply Chain, and other business functions.
· Collaborate closely with regional investigators and intelligence analysts to support investigations and intelligence requirements.
· Deliver intelligence briefings, presentations, reports, and recommendations to audiences at different levels of the organisation.
· Act as a trusted intelligence resource for stakeholders across Europe.
· Contribute to knowledge sharing and collaboration across the wider global intelligence network.
External Engagement & Partnerships
· Develop and maintain professional relationships with relevant external partners where appropriate.
· Support engagement with industry associations, enforcement bodies, regulatory agencies, and other strategic partners.
· Participate in relevant working groups, intelligence forums, and professional networks.
· Support collaborative intelligence-sharing initiatives that enhance investigative outcomes.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
· Stay current on intelligence methodologies, investigative techniques, OSINT tools, and industry best practices.
· Identify opportunities to improve intelligence processes, workflows, and analytical capabilities.
· Evaluate emerging technologies and tools that may enhance intelligence collection and analysis.
· Share lessons learned, best practices, and innovative approaches with colleagues globally.
· Contribute to the ongoing development of intelligence programmes and capabilities.
Project Management & Delivery
· Manage multiple intelligence requests, investigations, and projects simultaneously.
· Prioritise workload effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
· Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency across all intelligence products and deliverables.
· Deliver work to agreed timelines while maintaining high standards of analytical rigour.

Desirable Experience
· Experience with Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) methodologies and tools.
· Experience in corporate investigations, brand protection, anti-counterfeiting, anti-illicit trade, fraud investigations, or related fields.
· Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and online marketplace investigations.
· Experience working with law enforcement, customs authorities, regulatory agencies, or industry associations.
· Understanding of supply chain investigations and trade-related risks.
· Additional European language skills.
