Head of US Sales
Our client is seeking a dynamic, AI-fluent, ambitious US Sales Director to lead its sales efforts across the United States. Role Overview
You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic advocate for the organisation, responsible for driving and achieving target revenue growth in the US market and managing the talented US sales team. This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in expanding the company’s footprint, as well as developing and mentoring that high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
• You will own and grow the high-value sales revenue quota across the US market.
• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with the Commercial Director and executive leadership's GTM plan.
• Identify, strategise and develop new business opportunities in line with company strategy and growth goals.
• Collaborate closely with product, embedded services and marketing teams to ensure a client and prospect feedback-cycle that allows the company to align with evolving customer needs and changes in the market.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, identify new industry trends, and work with the Commercial Head, intelligence and marketing to adjust sales tactics in response.
• Prepare and present detailed, accurate sales reports and revenue forecasts to C-level executives.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets as laid out by the Head of Commercial and the CFO.
• Deliver highly tailored product demonstrations that address complex physical, geopolitical, supply chain, regulatory and other business risk use cases for C-level executives and those that report to them.
Team Leadership
• Manage and mentor the US sales team, helping them to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets for leads, calls, engagements and deal closures.
• Build relationships across the organisation to ensure deep integration of the entire sales team with the rest of the company, in a way that enhances product knowledge, team morale and sales outcomes across the organisation.
• Set performance goals in accordance with the Commercial Director’s plans.
• Oversee sales operations including forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM optimization (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
• Provide coaching and foster a collaborative and supportive culture.
• Ensure alignment with company values: Integrity, Innovation, Inclusion, and Evidence-Based Analysis.
Process Optimisation
• Collaborate with marketing, customer success, and product teams to enhance lead generation and conversion.
• Support the sales team’s growth and use of AI to build optimized sales and customer success architecture and grow process efficiencies and effectiveness across the entire sales cycle – from lead generation to close.
AI Integration & Sales Strategy
• Demonstrate knowledge of and affinity for the use of AI (Claude, Perplexity or similar tools) to speed and enhance the sales process, showing how you’ve used in the past to increase win rates.
• Implement a variety of AI tools including agentic AI to improve sales performance, drive leads acquisition and development and strengthen the closing process
• Partner closely with the Product team to translate market feedback into intelligence and AI-driven feature roadmaps.
Represent the Company
• Serve as a visible ambassador of the company’s ethos, mission and offerings.
• Attend industry events, client meetings, trade shows, networking events and internal strategy sessions.
Requirements
• Strong B2B sales experience, ideally with experience selling embedded services, and risk intelligence services.
• Experience with high dollar value sales processes and multi-product sales deals, particularly in the security and risk management sectors.
• Experience managing individual contributors to perform at the highest level.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust quickly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-growing, agile environment that supports remote work and remote workers through intentional communication and leadership across a global workforce.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven sales strategies.
• Have at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven experience in sales and in driving strong outcomes
