Country Director - Haiti

This is a really interesting role for someone with strong demonstrable experience of leading complex security programmes in high-risk environments. It will be a rotational role, 8 weeks in-country and 4 weeks out, flights and accommodation will be provided.

This role is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations within Haiti, covering security risk management, business continuity, project oversight, and the management of multidisciplinary teams. You will manage all business departments in-country, ensure alignment with organisational strategy and maintain operational excellence. You will be acting as the company’s senior representative in Haiti, so you can expect significant engagement with clients, government authorities, community stakeholders, and business partners.

Business development strategy and new client engagement are defined by the CEO and the Country Director is responsible for implementing this strategy locally and for maintaining long-term client relationships once contracts are secured.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

• Provide leadership and direction across Operations, Sites, Investigations, Finance, Commercial, HR, IT, and support functions

• Drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement

• Mentor and develop managers and staff, including succession planning and local capacity-building

• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and contractual requirements

Security and Risk Management

• Deliver security risk management services, including consultancy, protective security, incident and crisis management, and technical solutions

• Develop and maintain risk frameworks aligned with ISO 31000, including risk registers and treatment plans

• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, law enforcement, and regulatory authorities

• Maintain crisis response strategies and resilience best practices

Business Continuity

• Lead the development and maintenance of the in-country business continuity strategy

• Conduct business impact analyses, planning activities, and readiness exercises

• Monitor KPIs, training programmes, and maturity roadmaps

• Align continuity planning with strategic objectives and evolving business needs

Project Management

• Lead and manage a portfolio of projects to improve operational efficiency and service delivery

• Establish governance and apply project management best practices

• Align initiatives with business priorities in collaboration with department heads

• Set, monitor, and achieve performance targets in line with contractual and operational requirements

Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement

• Implement the business development strategy defined by the CEO and COO LATAM

• Manage and maintain long-term client relationships in Haiti

• Represent the company with government authorities, local partners, international organisations, and the business community

• Promote the company’s reputation in security and risk management

• Prepare reports, presentations, and briefings for executive management and board members

Skills & Qualifications

• Senior-level expertise in security risk management, crisis response, and business continuity

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple departments

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field

• Strong stakeholder engagement and senior-level representation capability

• Experience managing client relationships and contract delivery

• Project management expertise; formal certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred

• Understanding of national and regional affairs relevant to business operations

• Relevant professional certifications preferred (CPP, PSP, ISO 31000, SRMC)

• Fluency in French (written and spoken) is highly beneficial
