Senior Manager, Intelligence and Crisis Management
We are looking to identify a Senior Manager, Crisis Management & Intelligence for a global, complex, people-focused organisation operating across international markets. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced professional who can combine strategic intelligence expertise with strong crisis management capability in a highly visible role.
Based in Dublin, this position will play a key role in strengthening global resilience, enhancing proactive risk visibility, and building a more internationally aligned intelligence and crisis management function.
The role
This role sits at the intersection of crisis management, intelligence, enterprise risk, and business resilience. It is designed for someone who can lead from the front while also helping shape the longer-term direction of the function.
You will be responsible for two connected areas:
Intelligence
Building a more forward-looking, insight-led, data-driven intelligence capability that supports enterprise decision-making across operational, strategic, and business risk.
Crisis Management
Leading and improving crisis readiness through governance, planning, exercises, incident coordination, and continuous improvement.
This is a rare opportunity to help develop a best-in-class capability within a global organisation, with broad exposure across enterprise operations and senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
· Lead the global Intelligence and Crisis Management programme
· Deliver high-quality executive briefings and intelligence-led insights to support decision-making
· Oversee intelligence support across travel risk, event risk, site risk, geopolitical developments, and emerging threats
· Strengthen crisis preparedness through governance, response frameworks, playbooks, exercises, and after-action review
· Build and enhance data-driven dashboards and reporting to improve global risk visibility in real time
· Support M&A activity through intelligence-led risk assessments and due diligence on acquisition targets
· Partner closely with Legal, HR, Finance, Investigations, operations teams, and other senior stakeholders
· Lead and develop a small but growing team spanning crisis coordination and intelligence capability
· Help shape a more mature in-house intelligence function for highly sensitive and business-critical work
Candidate profile
We are especially interested in candidates with a strong intelligence background, ideally complemented by crisis management exposure in a corporate, government, or similarly high-stakes environment.
You are likely to bring:
· Significant experience in intelligence, crisis management, enterprise risk, resilience, global security, or a related field
· Strong intelligence tradecraft and the ability to turn complex information into clear, actionable insight
· Experience advising senior stakeholders and presenting risk in a credible, practical way
· Exposure to international or fast-moving operating environments
· Commercial judgement and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organisation
· Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
· Leadership experience, including team management and influencing across functions
· A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to balance strategic thinking and delivery
Ideal background
The strongest candidates may bring a combination of commercial and public-sector intelligence experience, together with the judgement to operate effectively in a corporate setting.
Experience in any of the following would be particularly valuable:
- Strategic or protective intelligence
- Enterprise or operational crisis management
- Business resilience
- Travel, event, or geopolitical risk
- M&A due diligence or transaction-related risk support
- Developing dashboards, reporting frameworks, or data-led risk tools
Why this role stands out
This is not a purely reactive role. The function is evolving toward a more strategic, proactive, and data-driven model, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape that journey.
The role also offers unusually broad exposure across crisis, intelligence, operational risk, leadership preparedness, and strategic business activity. It would suit someone who enjoys building capability, solving complex problems, and operating with real influence across an organisation.
Culture and environment
This is a collaborative, people-focused environment where employee wellbeing and practical resilience are taken seriously. The team works closely across functions and values sound judgement, partnership, and the ability to make things happen.
It is a strong fit for someone who wants meaningful work, visible impact, and the opportunity to help build a more mature and globally aligned function.
