Regional Head of Security & Safety, EMEA
The Role
In this role, you will be the Safety & Security leader for the EMEA Region, managing all safety and security programs and implementing preventative actions to company’s protect the brand, staff, and assets from a range of safety and security risks and threats, particularly criminality, terrorism, insider threats, human exploitation and political violence.
This role will have direct reporting to the Regional Head of Legal. The post will directly manage a small team of regional security managers and indirectly supervise all site-level security managers. Coordinating broadly with your counterparts in HR, IT, Comms, Legal, Engineering, Design and others, this role will provide expert investigative, intelligence and physical security support to the region’s leadership and assist in the continuous improvement and development of security and health & safety programmes and initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Provide supervision, direction, leadership and mentorship to geographically dispersed regional security managers with specific area responsibilities.
• Provide expert guidance and advice regarding all safety & security issues to regional leadership
• Routinely conduct audits and assessments of individual sites within your assigned region identifying vulnerabilities and providing risk mitigation recommendations and actions
• Lead in the response to critical life safety events and incidents
• Maintain awareness of global risk environment with potential impact to operations which may include review of vendor reporting, independent research and close coordination with the corporate and cyber security analytical teams
• Prepare regular reports and provide routine verbal briefings regarding safety, security and brand reputation to various internal leadership and control committees and working groups.
Qualifications
Required:
• 12+ years of experience in same field, industry, or other equivalent business/ function role
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant topic, master’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
Preferred:
• Professional Certifications in the global security management field
• International experience, travel, work and residence
• Spanish Language Proficiency
• 25-40% travel both domestic and international
