Country Security Manager, Indonesia
Are you ready to take the lead in safeguarding this major multinational’s operations across a large, diverse footprint? We’re looking for an experienced Country Security Manager to shape and steer security strategies across Indonesia.
This is more than a standard security role—it’s about enabling growth, collaboration, and resilience. You’ll be part of a regional leadership team, with opportunities to shape global security projects, influence policy, and protect what matters most—our client’s people and mission.
In-country travel will be required.
What You`ll Be Doing
- Advise senior leadership (operations, external affairs, government affairs etc) on political and security developments and their business implications.
- Foster strong relationships with public security forces and key external stakeholders, ensuring the company remains a respected and secure partner.
- Lead a large security operations team across the Indonesian businesses, identifying and mitigating risks in real time.
- Through your team, deliver high-quality security risk management, from strategic risk registers to detailed risk action plans.
- Guide and mentor security teams ensuring unified implementation of physical and technical security measures.
- Support crisis management as a key point of contact during critical events, aligning with the global response framework.
- Ensure strong community relations and champion human rights by ensuring all practices align with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 10 years of security experience, managing national-level operations across multiple sites.
- Ability to navigate senior stakeholder environments and influence strategic decision-making.
- Experience with budgeting, capital projects, and performance-driven contract management.
- Professional fluency in English, with a knack for clear and persuasive communication.
- A university degree (preferably analytical in nature) or significant equivalent professional experience.
- Proven expertise in security risk assessment, physical and technical security systems and policy development.
- Strong relationships with local law enforcement and government agencies; international experience is a plus.
- Experience conducting investigations (e.g. fraud, misconduct) would be advantageous
