Security Lead – Sub-Saharan Africa

We are thrilled to be working with a Global Manufacturer, recruiting for a Security Leader to manage their Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Region who will be based in South Africa and be expected to travel frequently across the region. This role is critical in overseeing security and crisis management for core infrastructure, trade routes, and business operations across a diverse and complex threat landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage business continuity and crisis plans, working closely with vendors, local law enforcement, emergency responders, and community leaders.
• Develop and implement security strategies for SSA, addressing risks from organised crime, natural disasters, supply chain threats, and travel risk.
• Build relationships with security professionals and stay current on industry trends.
• Advise on security incidents, provide travel security briefs, analyse intelligence, and conduct risk assessments.
• Investigate loss prevention, anti-counterfeiting, insider threats, workplace violence, and corruption.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience in Security, Crisis Management, or Intelligence within the region. With specific experience creating or developing security and crisis management policies.
• Strong documentation and presentation skills, able to effectively articulate value added by actions and decisions made by you/your team.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and shifting priorities.
• Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• FMCG or Manufacturing experience is advantageous.
